FLAME SENSOR INSPECTION AND REPAIR
The flame sensor is a thin metallic rod found in the burner assembly and sits in front of the flame stream inside the furnace. The flame sensor detects the presence of a flame when the heat hits the metallic rod and sends a small current of electricity. If there is no flame the sensor will shut down the furnace to prevent harmful gas from leaking into your home.
